2007 Troop Groovy Girls & accessories
Manhattan Toy Company (MTC)
$16.00
Launched with much fan-fare in 2007, 7 of the Troop Groovy Girls were offered in the 2008 Girl Scout catalog, along with one set of clothing accessory called "Fun Fall Fashion Set."
A product of the Manhattan Toy Company - this branch of the already established Groovy Girls 13" soft doll line wore street clothes along with a reversible Brownie/Junior sash or Brownie vest with the contemporary Girl Scout trefoil emblem. Later dolls had a reversible Brownie/Junior vest.
Accessories included Trooptastic/Trooptacular Tent, Drowsy Dreamer sleeping bag, Hip Hikers Set and a Camptacular Chair Set.
There were only 3 unique Girl Scout fashion sets, and of those, only one had a GS mark on the jacket and the trefoil on the purse. The other two fashion sets included mock try-its and badges. Oddly, the reverse side of these fashion packages note "Collect All Five" of the dolls, even though the launch in the catalog listed 7 dolls.
This line ran from 2007 until 2010 and included 13 separate dolls, including finally a Daisy doll in 2010.
In 2008 special Girl Scout Convention Troop Groovy Girls were offered, emblazoned with the wording "Indianapolis/Girl Scouts of the USA/2008" on their shirts. There were 3 different dolls in different outfits, but the shirt was the same on each one. It's not known if these 3 dolls are addition to the 13 noted above, or just the shirt was offered.

Raccoon often missing when found on the secondary market.
The Drowsy Dreamer doll size Sleeping Bag for Troop Groovy Girls is often missing the raccoon from the outer pocket.
Troop Groovy Girls Hip Hikers set included a backpack with the Girl Scout mark, and a canteen and blanket, neither of which seem to have the GS mark.
The Girl Scout trefoil on the Troop Groovy Girls Camptacular Chair Set is on the back of the camp chair.
Note the consistent use of the brownish swirl fabric and lime green fabric throughout all the camp accessories.
Troop Groovy Girls Fashion Accessories:
Of the 3 known Girl Scout doll apparel sets offered, this one from the 2008 GS catalog is the only one that uses the GS trefoil (on the purse) and the lettering "GS" on the jacket.
Promotional information for the Troop Groovy Girls launch and labels from the dolls, noting their name, the GS mark and the Groovy Girls mark.
