2005 Brownie Girl Scout Dolls & related merchandise

Mary Meyers Corp.
$10.00

Merchandise related to a launch, in this case the 2005 Brownie Girl Scout dolls, is fairly common. However, for this launch, GSUSA outdid itself .

Although the line of 5 dolls launched in the 2005 Girl Scout catalog, other related items were launched earlier with the image of the 5 dolls, or the unique block spelling of "Brownie". The manufacturer of these dolls was Mary Meyers Corporation, Townshend, VT and made in China

The dolls were named Monique, Ashley, Joy, Emily and Cristina. The box for the dolls was colorful and clearly marked Girl Scouts, showing the 5 dolls. Otherwise they are remarkably "un-Girl Scout-ish." The doll set only had one new addition after their launch, a Brownie uniform of one piece dress, sash and beanie, in 2006 - the uniform did not have any GS marking on the outside. The label on the uniform dress says Mary Meyers.

The colorful box was the only sign that these dolls were Girl Scout related.
