Girl Scout Purses 1942 -1975
Prior to World War 2, there were no purses offered for Girl Scouting. World War 2 brought about the "Service Bags" - unmarked large cloth bags. In 1943 the first Girl Scout purse was shown in the GS catalog.
There are 3 known designs of the "Service Bag." It's not known if they were marked Girl Scouts on the interior.
